Why has RBS created these awards?
To raise the profile of personal finance education (PFE)
To celebrate outstanding achievement in PFE
To help spread best practice in PFE
RBS introduced the awards in recognition of the growing importance of PFE in primary and secondary schools and colleges today. It is vital that young people learn how to understand and manage their finances at an early age.
What are the prizes?
Category 1
Best all-round approach to PFE:
Winner of both primary and secondary awards – £1,500 for the school and a laptop for the individual.
Runners up of both primary and secondary awards – £500 for the school and an iPod shuffle for the individual.
Category 2
Teacher award:
Winner of both primary and secondary awards – £1,500 for the school and a laptop for the individual.
Runners up of both primary and secondary awards – £500 for the school and an ipod shuffle for the individual.
Category 3
Student award:
Winner of both primary and secondary awards – £1,500 for the school plus exciting prizes for the individual or group.
Runners up of both primary and secondary awards – £500 for the school plus exciting prizes for the individual or group.
